A Midtown apartment building caught fire Friday morning. The call came in at 10:04 a.m. about the fire at an apartment building in the 930 block of Piedmont Avenue. According to Atlanta fire officials, there was a heavy fire on the third floor of the apartment building. The building was evacuated and there were no immediate reports of injuries. Images from social media show smoke visible from blocks away of the scene.
