Carroll County Commission Chairman Marty Smith is proud to announce the appointment of Chief Tim Padgett as Carroll County Fire Rescue’s new Fire Chief effective November 14, 2018. He will, also, continue to serve as the County’s Emergency Management Director
Chief Tim Padgett
Chief Padgett is a native of Villa Rica, Georgia graduating from Villa Rica High School in 1982. He began his career in fire and emergency services as a Junior Firefighter with what was then the Carroll County Fire Department and Civil Defense. After graduating High School, he became a fulltime firefighter and quickly advanced in the department by being promoted thru out the ranks of Fire Rescue and Emergency Management. In 1990, he was promoted to Fire Inspector/Deputy Director of Emergency Management. In 1993, he was promoted to Division Fire chief and the Director of Emergency Management.
