A fire Wednesday morning on Wexler Street in Savannah has displaced one person. Savannah Fire responded to the fire in the 800 block of Wexler Street around 9 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a fire in the kitchen and were able to put it out quickly. Gas to the structure had to be cut, which resulted in the resident being displaced. No one was injured. The cause is under investigation.
