On Monday at 11:45 p.m., Savannah Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fire at 235 Millen Street, just off Augusta Avenue. Crews found an abandoned house fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to a neighboring home. The abandoned house sustained extensive fire damage. Heat damaged a section of siding on the neighboring home. No one was injured or displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
