Monday was a special day for Samira Siale of Enterprise Holdings Foundation as she juggled an oversized check and a load of lei at the Moikeha Building, Lihue Civic Center.
Samira was joined by Shannon Maxwell, Enterprise Kauai manager, in presenting the Kauai Lifeguard Association, represented by Kauai Bureau Chief Kalani Vierra of the Ocean Safety Bureau, with a check for $2,000 from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation.
Vierra was joined by Kauai Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Jr., Kauai Fire Chief Robert Westerman, Gerald Hurd, and Tyrus Siale, the newly promoted water safety officers from the Ocean Safety Bureau.
