Police activity at Washington Middle School on Monday morning turned out to be a false alarm.
A hazmat team, police and firefighters were all on campus Monday morning responding to what could have been reports of an alarm sounding at the school.
The call came in as a 'gas leak,' but it was not confirmed. Honolulu Fire Department checked all classrooms that reported the smell, but did not find the source.
An all clear was given afterward, and the school resumed as normal.
