A man who fell roughly 30 feet while hiking in Windward Oahu Thursday afternoon has died.
Rescue crews responded to the area of Ahuimanu Falls at 11:08 a.m.
Firefighters arrived at 11:34 a.m. and found bystanders performing CPR.
Honolulu Fire Department's Air 1 airlifted the unresponsive man to Ahuimanu Elementary School, where paramedics were waiting.
He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead, Honolulu police said.
"We've never seen people get stuck up there, and then the last few nights, I don't know, maybe there's something new on the Internet and that's why people are going up there, because we've never seen people getting lost," said Kahaluu resident Emmie Kia.
This is the second rescue in the area this week.
Firefighters say they had to rescue a hiker from a nearby trail two nights ago.
