Honolulu firefighters responded to a building fire in Kalihi at 1:21 p.m. Friday. The building was located on Hoe Street. The first unit arrived at 1:26 p.m. where they found heavy smoke coming out of a warehouse structure, specifically from the bottom of a rollup door. HFD reports that no occupants were in the building at the time of the fire. The fire was fully extinguished by firefighters at 2:15 p.m. The building fire is currently under investigation and damages are estimated at $300,000 to the structure and $70,000 to the contents of the structure. No injuries have been reported in the fire.
