Twelve Sioux City firefighters who died in the line of duty will be remember at an event on Friday, October 9th. Sioux City Fire Rescue will be holding the Fallen Firefighters Ceremony at 3 p.m. at the Public Safety Officer’s Memorial near city hall. The public is welcome to take part in the ceremony. Fire Marshal Mark Aesoph says the annual event “honors those brave and selfless men who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the City of Sioux City and its Citizens.”
