The Knoxville Rural Fire Department was paged to a cornfield fire at 1654 Pratt Drive, a few miles south of Knoxville Monday afternoon. The department did not have much trouble extinguishing the small fire in the already-harvested field. Logan Shives stood in the back of the department's quick attack truck, driven by Denny Williams, and put out the flames. Fire Chief Kenny Thompson said he did not know what may have caused the fire. The page went out at around 4:12 p.m., and the department was clear from the scene within 45 minutes.
