A string of car fires continued early Wednesday morning with two more incidents, including a case being investigated as arson. Authorities announced on Tuesday they were investigating three car fires, including two which appeared to be intentionally set. On Wednesday the Ottumwa Police Department released a report of another one. The fire was set in a Ford Crown Victoria parked at Lillian and Baldwin streets. The fire appears to have been called in at 1:26 a.m., a similar time to the earlier fires. It is under investigation as second degree arson.
