The effects of a statewide testing scandal should have minimal effect on the Council Bluffs Fire Department. The department was among the 94 outfits informed by the Iowa Department of Public Safety last week that they had firefighters who should not have been granted certifications by its Fire Services Training Bureau. But Fire Chief Justin James told The Nonpareil that won’t cause much hardship. James said he knows of at least three firefighters in his department were affected.
