A statewide scandal over test results certified by the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau has flared up once again. A total of 94 fire departments, including Clarinda, felt the sting of the latest findings. Clarinda Fire Chief Roger Williams said he was notified by letter Wednesday, March 15, that at least one member of the department was affected by the controversy. “I was hoping we escaped this fiasco, but evidently we didn’t. I have heard there were some other surrounding departments that also had issues,” Williams said.
