Milford officials on Tuesday released additional details about a storage unit fire that broke out the night of Nov. 7 on the north side of the city. Milford Police Chief Bob Clark said 53-year-old Francis Petska of Milford is the adult male who was found inside the storage unit where the fire is believed to have started. Milford Fire Chief Jim Carpenter referred questions about the cause of the fire to the State Fire Marshal Division. “I’m very hesitant on releasing too much information because we’re not the lead on the case,” Ron Humphrey, a Special Agent in Charge with the State Fire Marshal Division said. “We’re an assisting agency … Everything we do, we turn over to them. Then, they dispose of the case.”
