The man whose body was found Nov. 7 in a burned-out Milford storage unit died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the State Medical Examiner's office. State Medical Examiner Dennis Klein told the Journal in a phone message late Wednesday that an autopsy of the body of 53-year-old Francis Petska, who was ruled deceased the night of Nov. 7 when his body was recovered from the burnt structure, showed Petska took his own life. The cause of the fire, which resulted in a complete loss of the storage unit where Petska's body was found, remains under investigation by the Iowa State Fire Marshal's Office, according to Milford Fire Chief Jim Carpenter.
