A Monday morning house fire on Davis Street has chased an Ottumwa family out of their home. One of the tenants, Ressa Mason, told KTVO she was upstairs when she heard the fire alarm go off. She saw smoke and flames coming from the back of the house, so she grabbed her grandson and ran out. Everyone made it out OK, but Mason and her family might have to find another place to stay. Firefighters told her most of her belongings have mostly smoke damage. Investigators were not available at the scene to say what caused the fire.
