The Marcus Fire Department announces a Fund Raising effort to purchase a new ambulance. For over 50 years the Marcus Fire Department has provided a much needed ambulance service to residents of Marcus and the surrounding area. The Marcus Fire Department has always chosen to provide its ambulance service on a voluntary basis, and department members are not paid for their time spent on ambulance calls, nor are any fees assessed for their services. Donations are accepted from recipients of their services at their own discretion or ability to contribute, and the Marcus ambulance and emergency responders will always answer a call for help. Donations they do receive are used to update equipment and provide ongoing training for personnel.
