Tickets for the eighth annual Battle of the Badges charity hockey game in Mason City are now on sale at several locations. Firefighters, police officers and sheriff's deputies lace up their skates each year for the game that pits law-enforcement officers against firefighters to raise money for Make-A-Wish Iowa. The game is Saturday, March 17 -- St. Patrick's Day -- at the North Iowa Ice Arena. Organizers are working on having green beer at the game, according to a post on the event's Facebook page. Tickets are $5, with all sales benefiting Make-A-Wish. Admission is free for children age 5 and under.
