Local firefighters were called to a mobile home fire in Camanche on Monday afternoon. The Camanche Fire Department was dispatched at 1:41 p.m. to 61 Cedar Heights, Camanche, for a report of a fire on the front of a mobile home. The Clinton Fire Department also was called in to assist. The Camanche Fire Department arrived on scene to find flames going up the front of the building. The flames were quickly knocked down and the building was cleared of smoke. Fire damage was contained to the front wall of the structure. There was some smoke damage inside the residence. Damage is estimated at $4,000. The fire's cause was determined to be a bird's nest, which was located on the front exterior light, catching fire.
