A semi tractor-trailer hauling cars caught on fire Thursday north of Ames causing delays for drivers on Interstate 35. The Iowa Department of Transportations said the fire closed northbound traffic along I-35 from Ames to near Story City. Officials said it happened around noon. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
