Dozens of residents in the path of a raging wildfire on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation are being evacuated. The blaze was reported around 4 p.m. Thursday off Ross Fork Creek Road about 3 miles east of the Interstate 15 Fort Hall exit. Fort Hall authorities reported Thursday evening that nearly 50 houses have been evacuated so far because of the out-of-control wildfire, which has already grown to about 2,500 acres in size. The blaze could grow even more on Friday because the weather forecast is calling for thunderstorms packing frequent lightning and 60 mph winds throughout East Idaho. The National Weather Service has declared a red flag warning — the highest wildfire threat level — for Friday afternoon and night for the entire region because of the expected conditions.
