A crash at a local medical center had emergency crews at the scene, even before 911 was called.
At around 4:00 pm Tuesday, a call was dispatched for a car that crashed into St. Joseph’s Cancer Care Center, on Idaho Street, downtown. Lewiston Police said the driver is a patient at the center and was parking when his foot slipped off the break and hit the gas.
But the location of the crash made this situation different than most. It happened directly across the street from the Lewiston Fire Department. Deputy Fire Chief Gaylon Waits was on scene before a call was even dispatched.
