Hall Mountain Fire responded to a shop fire on Jan. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at the Koubek residence at 5202 Moyie River Road. “We responded with equipment and personnel from all three of our stations,” said Hall Mountain Fire Chief Brad Lowther. The building contained two fully restored classic cars and two more that were in progress. When the fire was discovered by a neighbor, it was already fully involved, and by the time the fire department arrived, the building was already on the ground. “Our folks did a great job extinguishing the fire and showed great compassion for Ron and Lori and their loss,” said Lowther. “I am proud of our folks and they have proven again that we are not just the fire department, we are your friends and neighbors.”
