The Pocatello Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Idaho State University Monday morning. The alarm was activated at around 7:45 at ISU's Physical Science building. The building was evacuated and the fire department swept the building. There was no visible smoke, and within 20 minutes, firefighters determined a rubber belt on a generator in the basement triggered the alarm. Normal operations resumed by 8:10.
