No injuries were reported after a shed caught fire off Westmond Road on Monday. “Fire crews arrived to find a fully involved shed fire. Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire to prevent it from spreading to the forest,” Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS said in a post published to the department’s Facebook page. The cause of the shed fire was deemed accidental. Selkirk firefighters were also summoned to a structure fire off Homestead Road near Athol on Wednesday morning. The blaze was reported shortly after 11 a.m., according to a Bonner Dispatch log. Selkirk Chief Ron Stocking did not respond to a request for comment on the Homestead fire on Thursday.
