Police are investigating the death of Elizabethtown Fire Chief Tim Dillard. The 45-year-old was found dead Tuesday night in his home. Dillard had been fire chief for about six months. He also owned a business in Gallatin County, and his employees are taking the loss hard. "Shock and awe. I couldn't believe it, I didn't want to believe it," said Brandon Gibbons. Gibbons worked for Dillard for about 18 months. It was just after 7 p.m. Tuesday when he got a call from a co-worker. "He notified me that Tim had been found in his house, deceased," Gibbons explained. He says Dillard opened his shop, Dillard Tarp Systems, nearly a decade ago.
