No injuries were reported after a machine shed was destroyed by fire on a property just east of Mechanicsburg Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 14600 block of Bullard Road at 8:55 a.m.
Dan Pasch, who owns the property, said his wife came home minutes earlier and saw the shed, which contained hay and sawdust, was on fire. The blaze started small but spread quickly.
As firefighters were arriving, the shed collapsed.
Early on, there was concern that a horse was inside the shed. But the animal was located unharmed elsewhere on the property.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No foul play is suspected, said Mechanicsburg Fire Chief Frank Lane.
Firefighters from Mechanicsburg, Buffalo, Dawson and Rochester responded to the call.
