Two Chicago firefighters needed medical treatment after a massive fire at a Little Village industrial park early Friday.
The five-alarm fire started around 3 a.m. at a wood-pallet shop near 25th Street and Rockwell and spread to a muffler business, Deputy Fire Cmsr. Mike Callahan said. The fire, which destroyed the pallet shop, was brought under control by around 5:30 a.m., according to Callahan, who said two of the more than 200 firefighters who fought the fire received medical treatment at Rush University Medical Center, one for a minor shoulder injury and the other for shortness of breath.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Callahan said.
