Two people were seriously hurt in a fire on Chicago's South Side early Tuesday, authorities said.
Firefighters rescued the victims, both adults, from a burning home in the city's West Englewood neighborhood.
The fire began at around 12:15 a.m. in a one-and-a-half story home in the 6300 block of South Bell Avenue, officials said.
Firefighters rescued the two people, taking one to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and the other to Holy Cross Hospital in serious condition.
