A truck caught on fire Thursday outside of "A Plus Cuts," a business located on the corner of Virginia and Main streets. Residents who were at the scene told WAND News they were angry over the fire department's response times. Michael Dennis says he was worried the fire would spread from the truck to the building. He says he called 9-11 immediately after they found the fire, but Dennis says firefighters didn't show up until 30 minutes later. "We have a fire department less than two blocks down the street," Dennis says. "We ran down there about 15 minutes into the fire, and we banged on the door to let them know we had a fire. There's a small sign on the door saying fire department closed call 911." Fire Station 4 in Danville closed over a year ago, but residents are saying the need the departments opened back up.
