A woman was killed when her car crashed into the trailer of a semi in Pulaski County early Wednesday morning. Firefighters say the semi was trying to make the turn onto KY-39, just north of Somerset near Coleman Road, when it got stuck in the tight corner. The victim's car crashed into the trailer, wedging underneath. Officials have not released the woman's name. Police say premlinary investigation indicates the truck's headlights might have blinded the driver of the car. The driver of the truck was not seriously injured. Dabney Volunteer Fire Department Chief Rick Haynes says trucks have gotten stuck at this intersection before. "This is a very common intersection that we have a lot of issues with as far as vehicles that go by their GPS, as far as roads which to take. Apparently, this is one that shows commonly because we have a lot of trailers come through this intersection. We usually work traffic control, not a fatality."
