According to the Frankfort City Manager Cindy Steinhauser, Fire Chief Eddie Slone will be retiring from the department on July 31, 2017.
Slone began his career with the Frankfort Fire and EMS in December 1994.
He became Sergeant in 1999, Lieutenant in 2002, Captain in 2004, and Battalion Chief in 2006.
In 2009, he was named Assistant Chief under former Chief Wallace Possich.
He was named Fire Chief in the summer of 2013.
