The Clarkson Fire Department has been able get some much needed upgrades to their equipment, using fire dues. Clarkson Fire Chief Andy Cain said, "The result of your continued support by paying the fire dues has enabled our department to grow and improve our level of service to the district we serve and provide support to the surrounding districts in Grayson County." The fire department was able to purchase a 2007 Chevrolet 2500HD Crew Cab.
