Four people are dead following a plane crash in the Fountain Run community of Barren County, police say.
Police were notified of the plane going down around 2:20 p.m. near Bewelytown Road. The plane, a Piper PA32, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, struck multiple trees in a wooded area.
According to Kentucky State Police, 41-year-old Scott Foster and his 15-year-old son Noah, 41-year-old Kyle Stewart and 40-year-old Quinton Whitaker, both of Somerset all died in the crash. It’s unclear which of the three died at the scene and the person who later died at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green.
NTSB investigators are expected to arrive at the crash site Monday.
It’s unclear where the plane originated from.
The investigation is ongoing.
