911 services top priority for Lewis County Fiscal Court

Ambulance and 911 services had top billing at Lewis County Fiscal Court on Monday. Magistrates discussed community concerns that Portsmouth Ambulance response time in the county has been fairly slow – some saying it takes up to 30 minutes or longer for EMTs to arrive. Lewis County Judge-Executive Todd Ruckel said he has been in talks with the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services and Kentucky Health and Family Services about concerns.
