A fire broke out overnight in the garage of a home in Nicholasville. Firefighters say that fire happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday night at a home in Tates Creek Estates They say a heating lamp was being used to keep some animals in the detached garage warm when it caught fire. Officials say a nearby home has some minor damage to the siding but the garage is considered a loss. No people were hurt in the fire, but some chickens weren't able to be saved.
