Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a tree to suddenly fall outside a civic club Friday evening, killing one woman and injuring another.
Fort Wright police say they were called to the Lookout Heights Civic Club around 5:30 p.m. They say the tree fell on Heather McNamara, 32, of Covington, and Rebecca Wright, 45, of Butler, as they were on a patio outside the civic club.
Police say both women were trapped under the tree when they arrived. They say McNamara died at the scene.
