Hundreds of firefighters from numerous states were in Corbin this weekend and attended the Southeastern Kentucky Firefighters Association’s annual Fall Fire School.
Battalion Chief Jack Partin with the Corbin Fire Department said numbers for this year’s school were up by approximately 50.
The school, which started on Friday and wrapped up Sunday evening, offered classes to help firefighters keep their certifications. There were classes for firefighters of any skill level with courses varying from water rescue, EMT refresher, basic firefighting, Hazmat awareness and firefighter survival.
