Scott Celsor has been promoted to chief of the Russellville City Fire Department. Celsor, who has been with the department for 10 years, began his duties in September.
“I love serving the community,” said Celsor. “I started my career as a firefighter in 2004 as a volunteer for the Russellville Rural Fire Department. My wife’s family was involved in fire service and supported me when I showed an interest.”
Scott is responsible for the day-to-day operations at the fire station, organizing the continuous training that firefighters must have annually, keeping all equipment up to standard, facilitating the purchase of new equipment, and keeping his firefighters and the community safe at all costs.
