E911 Director Wendy Lynch was presented a prestigious accreditation award by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police at Tuesday’s Fiscal Court meeting.
Shawn Butler, of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police, noted during a presentation that Lynch’s department was only the 14th in the state to gain the achievement, and was one of the pilot communication centers to participate in the accreditation program when it was created two years ago.
The accreditation focuses on 60 standards the association feels is critical for communication centers to deliver, Butler said.
During her acceptance, Lynch noted how proud she is of her department and staff.
