A pet is being credited for saving a Laurel County family from a house fire overnight. The fire broke out just before 3 a.m. at a house on Cold Hill Road. By the time firefighters had arrived the roof of the home had already collapsed and flames were still visible. Thankfully, the homeowners made it out of the house before any of them were hurt. They credit their dog with waking them up and getting them out of the house. Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the scene approximately two hours later.
