Fire has damaged the emergency dispatch and ambulance services building in Elliott County, Kentucky. Emergency Management director Jim Skaggs tells WSAZ.com the fire started about midnight and the EMS side of the building is a total loss. Two dispatchers and an EMS crew were inside the building when the fire started. No one was hurt. Flames were visible when volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene. Skaggs said that a temporary 911 center has been set up at the Emergency Operations Center in Sandy Hook, and that they can take 911 calls.
