Sams asked that as we go about our daily lives that the citizens of Corbin pray for the police officers, the firefighters and the first responders.
"You never know what they're going out to — if it's a fire running in to get someone, if it's responding to help someone help the ambulances, or if it's our policemen because they never know what they're going into," said Sams. "So each day you see one of these guys drive through town in their police cars or firefighters going down through here, just say a quick prayer and remember them."
