When Stephanie Winkler walked into a classroom years ago, she wanted to have a positive impact on children. She wanted to be a teacher because it was her desire to make a difference for children who struggle in school. That’s the same mission as many of the teachers who filled the Dixie Heights high school gym Tuesday evening. They also expected that when they got older, there would be a pension waiting for them because they paid into the system for years. Kentucky Senator John John Schickel came to the rally to hear the concerns.
