A chemical leak forced the evacuation of a state office building in Frankfort. Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton said anhydrous ammonia was leaking at the Kentucky Department for Libraries & Archives building on Coffee Tree Lane. The building was evacuated. Frankfort fire chief Wayne Briscoe says the leak was contained to one room, and crews are trying to prevent further leakage. Crews will ventilate the room once the leakage is contained. Employees reported the leak after employees smelled the chemical.
