Fighting a fire in a big box building is entirely different than tacking a blaze in a three-bedroom home. The possibility of an active shooter also requires a a plan in place from public responders. A call about an industrial accident requires a quick response. Those are all scenarios discussed recently the Regional/EastPark Emergency Service Consortium at its meeting in the ACTC building at the industrial park. The evening was moderated by Kelly Ward of FIVCO. Attendees included first responders from five counties as well as a representative of Gov. Matt Bevin, as well as local public officials. While the Braidy Atlas plant was discussed briefly, the meeting concentrated on the industrial park as a whole and being prepared for anything that might happen there.
