A 17-year-old accused of setting fire to a historic house on the Wickland property in July was indicted on arson, theft and mischief charges Wednesday.
Jacob K. Young, who turns 18 in April, was indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury on complicity to second-degree arson, complicity to theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and complicity to first-degree criminal mischief. According to the indictment, Young was “acting alone or in concert with” an unnamed juvenile on July 20 or July 21 when he started a fire or caused an explosion with intent to destroy or damage the residence.
