A woman is in the hospital after her mobile home caught fire early Saturday morning in Anderson County.
The blaze broke out just after 1 a.m. on Cornish Lane near Rutherford School Road.
One woman and several pets were inside the home at the time of the fire.
"We pulled up, things were popping like crazy," said Marty Terry, battalion chief of the Anderson County Fire Department. "We thought it was propane cylinders. It may have been the oxygen cylinders. It was going off, so I was directing people to come in and do their thing."
The woman told firefighters that she awoke to the smell of smoke. She said she rushed outside and immediately called for help.
Firefighters arrived to find the mobile home engulfed in flames.
