City officials and employees busied themselves Wednesday afternoon as they moved furniture into Berea’s new city hall, located at 212 Chestnut Street.
“This is the first time in Berea’s history that they’ve had a facility built to satisfy the needs of both police and fire. Our first responders were the major reason for us to (construct) this building,” City Administrator Randy Stone told The Register. “The rest of us, in administration and finance, are getting a bonus, because we get all new offices.”
Located under one roof, citizens will find police and fire departments, finance, economic development, the city clerk, mayor, city administrator and codes department within the 44,000-square-foot facility.
