Snow and ice didn’t keep a community staple of nearly 50 years from going up in flames Wednesday. Multiple agencies responded to a fire at Peck’s Market. Responders were out on scene on Oaks Road late into Wednesday evening. The owners were heartbroken and thinking of their next steps. The market opened in the 1960s and closed in 2008. Both owners, Gene Peck and his wife, Carolyn, said they were planning on moving into the building. The building full of so many memories is now a memory itself.
